The formula
Women: UK = US + 4, EU = US + 32. Men's suits: EU = US/UK size + 10.
Women's sizes
| US | UK | EU |
|---|---|---|
| 2 | 6 | 34 |
| 4 | 8 | 36 |
| 6 | 10 | 38 |
| 8 | 12 | 40 |
| 10 | 14 | 42 |
| 12 | 16 | 44 |
Men's suits
US and UK suit sizes are the chest measurement in inches, so a 40 is a 40 inch chest. EU sizes are 10 higher, so a US 40 is an EU 50.
A word of caution
There is no international standard for clothes, and brands often cut differently. Fast-fashion and luxury labels can differ by a full size. Check the maker's own size chart and measure yourself (bust, waist and hips) when you can.
